Le’Veon Bell faces an MCL, leaving the Steelers with no running back

“Its really difficult being such a huge steelers fan, it’s really disappointing losing one of the best duel threats in the league. I hope DeAngelo Williams really sets up to plate and keep the opposing defense preoccupied until the next season,” senior Celeste Trevellini said. Photo attributions to Andy McLemore.

At Heinz field in Pittsburgh this weekend, a loss wasn’t the only thing the Steelers had to deal with. They now have lost their first string running back Le’Veon Bell due to a torn Mcl (medial collateral ligament).

Reports have confirmed that the star running back will actually be watching the rest of the season on sideline.  Bell tore his mcl during the game against the Cincinnati Bengals where the Steelers lost 16-10.

Bell is crucial for the Steelers offense. What made this running back so successful was not only was he able to rule the running game, he was able to rule in the catching game as well, making him a very well diverse running back. He was placed second in leading yards last season with 1361 rushing yards, only below last years Demarco Murray and was the second leading receiver in the Pittsburgh Steelers offense.

Even though losing Bell is a major loss to the steelers, they will be more than satisfied having DeAngelo Williams by their side. Williams already has three touchdowns and a combined 194 yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers will still look for another back running back and will look for free agents like Isaiah Pead.
